Christmas!!!!! Wow. Ivo still doesn't really understand about Christmas but there were two things he REALLY obsessed on. Snowmen (pronounced shomen) and lights (pronounced yights). Snowmen is obvious, I mean what the heck ARE THEY? Where did they come from? It would be like if all of a sudden there were images of mermaids or cyclops everywhere, and then all of a sudden they were gone. Ivo, the Christmas industry wants you to be thinking about snowmen, even though in a land without snow, the concept is as abstract as thinking about a griffin. And YIGHTS! All throughout the Christmas season it was MORE YIGHTS! So sweet to hear his little voice from the backseat of the car... "OOOOO YIGHTS!" and then as the yights passed by and faded from his world, "MORE YIGHTS!" On and on like this. Ad infinitum.
Ivo scored on the West Coast, getting some cool gifts, an easel and a wagon from West Coast Grandma, and then it was time to visit Southern Grandma!

It was great to visit everyone... We had great food with great company! I wish I had pictures of the Cajun jam at the coffee shop, and the amazing oysters we ate, Oliver and Ivo jamming to Raffi, the beautiful Christmas dinner that Carolyn cooked... all I have is pictures of the blacklight mini-golf course at the Incredible Pizza Company.
It was a good Christmas.
