Made it to Lafayette, Louisiana! Everyone here is so super friendly... the food and company are great, as it always is down here. It makes me wonder why I was even thinking twice about coming down, given all the craziness going on in LA. I needed this, and so did Ivo! This picture is of Jazzie (Elaine's daughter) and her son Oliver. Ivo and Oliver are 2 months apart and this is the first time they have actually met! The last time I was down here, Jazzie was pregnant and about to pop! They had a great time together, clawing each other's faces and sticking their fingers up each other's noses! Super cute!

And here is Carolyn, grandma to Ivo. She is the perfect Southern belle, gorgeous, gracious and giving. She is the type of woman who has all the men wrapped around her finger, for good reason! She has a wonderful garden that Ivo played in all week, especially with the wind chimes. Sweet. I spent a week with her and John's grandma, Inez. Ivo was scared of Inez initially because he saw her in curlers! He's never seen that before! But by the end of the week he was all about Inez. Inez is also incredibly psychic. More on that later, because when Friday rolled around, Carolyn, in her gracious way, lent me her car to go back to New Orleans SANS BABY!!!! WOOO HOOO!!
