There is this wisdom that "kids live in the present moment." Kids can really fully appreciate their surroundings because they are not rushing to and fro, on the hamster wheel that adults are on.

I am calling bullshit on this. If they can appreciate looking at a flower or a tree or a cigarette butt on the sidewalk much more than adults can, then why do they not fully appreciate the moment when they have to take a nap, or the moment when you have to put them in the car seat? Hmmm?
