Let's go get the baby a haircut! It'll be fun!
First of all, I have to tell you, Ivo's hair has always been a sore subject. This has been as issue since the pregnancy days. John doesn't like blonde men. Even though at least half of his friends are blonde?! He did NOT want Ivo to have blonde hair, because in his words, "he wouldn't be able to love him". Well we all know that John loves Ivo, in spite of his blondie-blonde locks, BUT John is still hoping, waiting and praying for Ivo's hair to change color. John's mom was blonde till she was 5, and then her hair turned black. We'll see if that happens. In the meantime, we are ordering some baby wigs online.

OK, another quick note about Ivo's hair. He didn't get John's dark hair, but he did get nappy curly hair, which sticks out all over the place, especially in the back where it stands up in a big halo thing, and makes him look like Einstein. We don't even have to talk about the combo of my blonde hair and John's afro puffs.

So the haircut was kind of short. Time wise not length wise. The barber guy who cut (some) of his hair was way cool, and just stopped it in the middle and didn't even make us pay when Ivo started having a shit fit.
Poor sweetie. He just wants his afro to grow!

Also - cause I'm here and I love to talk about me - my hair waaaay light brown/blondish til I was 3 or 4 and then it darkened to black. So there's hope for Ivo yet.
I think he's beautiful just the way he is, though, and I do wish you'd send some of that hair Hayden's way. My poor child is as bald as an eagle and I'm sick of watching her fontenelle pulsate. :)
